Another Prostitution Racket Busted In Srinagar: Srinagar Police
After a prostitution racket was unearthed in Srinagar’s Bag-e-Mehtab area, police today claimed to have busted another racket in Nawgam area of Srinagar.
“Investigation in chanpura case led to busting of another prostitution racket in Nowgam area. 1) Shabir Mir of charlipora nowgam, 2) his wife Shazia Mir & 3) Adil Gulzar Hazar of Soura arrested on spot for operating this racket. 2 customers & a sex worker also detained(all locals)” Tweeted Srinagar police from its official Twitter account.
Earlier, A prostitution racket was busted in the Bagh-e-Mehtab on April 3.
The racket was running from a rented accommodation in the locality and two persons running the racket were arrested. They were identified as Irshad Ahmad Bhat, a resident of Pampore, and Mohd Shafi Hajam of Karimabad Pulwama.
Four female sex workers – all locals of Srinagar, and two customers were detained.
