Jan Abhiyan (Block Divas) held across District Pulwama
Pulwama 16 September: While inaugurating the Block Divas in Pulwama , District Development Commissioner Pulwama Dr Raghav Langer said that Jan Abhiyan is an opportunity to bridge the gap between people and the Govt besides reposing the faith of people on Public Institutions . He urged upon the officers to remain accessible to people and carry extensive tours to far flung areas of the district within aim to have a first hand assessment of issues and demands .He appealed people to avail the benefits of various Govt schemes and assist the Govt in forward movement of wheel of the development . He said the aim of the organizing Jan Abhiyan & B2V Program is to resolve all the public issues in a time bound manner. He stressed upon officers to maintain a comprehensive record of demands for the follow up action.
District Development Commissioner Pulwama along with SP Pulwama Ashish Mishra also attended Jan Abhiyan at various Blocks of the district including Pulwama ,Lassipora and Ichgoza Rajpora. where a large number of locals projected their demands before the DDC and teams of officers deputed by the district administration.
During the Public hearings, various Delegations, Individuals, Deputations from Panchayats apprised the officers about the issues pertaining to the different departments including Health ,Education, Horticulture ,Agriculture ,Jal Sakti ,RDD,R&B, Power Deptt, Social Welfare, ICDS and other sectors. The delegations also raised the issues regarding the provision of various services like revenue extracts, domicile certificates, caste certificates, dependency certificates, registration for various individual benefit schemes including social Security schemes for Old age pensions, handicap pensions, scholarships and submitted memorandum of demands pertaining to their respective Panchayat Halqas .
Block Divas was held in all eleven Blocks of the district where detailed discussion was held regarding different development projects besides issues being faced by the common masses of different panchayats, where designated officers including ADC Pulwama ,ADC Tral and ADC Awantipora and other district and sectoral officers listened the demands and issues of the people.
On the occasion, many grievances were solved on the spot and rest were forwarded to the concerned departments for prompt redress through an established tracking system.
The DDC and other designated officers at various blocks gave patient hearing and assured timely redressal of the genuine grievances ,whereas on spot directions were also passed for the redressal of the genuine demands raised by the people .
Moreover, the departmental functionaries will visit their respective jurisdictions to listen the grievances of the general public, and will hold awareness Programmes to highlight the individual beneficiary schemes in coming days.
Later , Sporting kits among the students ,Driving Licenses ,registration certificates, Domicile certificates ,income certificates Job Cards ,KCC Cards ,Labour Cards , Aids and Appliances among specially abled persons ,Sanction letters under Ladli Beti and other Social Security Schemes were distributed among the people at all eleven blocks of the district .
It is worthwhile to mention that the Block Divas witnessed the active participation of BDC’s, PRI’s,Civil society members who also interacted with people listened to their grievances and distributed Job Cards ,Ladli Beti Sanction letters, Sporting Kits ,BBBP Kits among beneficiaries in their respective blocks.
