Young teacher from Pulwama dies after brief illness

Pulwama, The Kashmir Radar: Wajahat Sartaj Wani, a goverment teacher from Pulwama’s Gulzarpora village dies after a brief illness at SKIMS Soura.

Wajahat, a researcher in clinical psychology was one of the brilliant teachers, known for his humble and generous nature.

Before joining his services as a goverment teacher, Wajahat rendered his services as a tutor to the KCEF college of education, as a psychology teacher.

Wajahat left his family and friends devastated and is survived by a son and a daughter.

“He was a noble soul, a treacherous spiritually loaded and academically well trained. We will miss his unique teaching ability.” Said Basharat, a student of Wajahat.

“He was an asset to our department, a man who loved to face challenges, he would always suggest his colleagues to inculcate latest teaching methods in the class. Such an irreparable loss to the education department.” Said Rouf, Wajahat’s colleague.

Soon after the message of his death reached his residence, condolence messages started pouring in, with some reputed educationsts of the valley calling his demise an irreparable loss.

His Namaz-e-Janaza was offered in his native village at 7:30AM.
