Sopore school closed for one week after teachers test positive

Authorities in Sopore have ordered closure of a school after its three teachers tested positive for COVID-19.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Sopore Parvaiz Sajad Ganai told Global News Service (GNS) that for next seven days, the Girls Higher Secondary School Sopore will remain closed as a precautionary measure.

“No activity shall take place in the school during this period for both teachers and students” he said.

It is pertinent to mention that goverment of the UT of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday ordered all the deputy commissioners to take call on closure of schools where ever they feel necessary.
