Soon after the Jammu and Kashmir police on Monday arrested a group of young boys for harassing and attacking a family travelling in a car near Srinagar’s Parimpora, people were left in splits while discussing the responsibility of parents in such horrible cases.

The incident sent shock waves all accross the valley, as such types of road rages are rarely witnessed in this part of the world.

The question is, who should be held responsible for this cure less disease?

The answer which reverberates accross all social media platforms is ‘Parents’. Yes, parents for obvious reasons.

Bad parenting is a very serious matter of concern all across the globe and it is because of this bad parenting, hundreds and thousands of lives are put to risk every year for one reason or the other.

Imagine, a group of young angry boys, with nothing to lose, attacking a family in a moving car for shooting a video of their reckless driving on the road. The trauma that the family has gone through, was later narrated by the female who had an infant in her arms when two to three boys surrounded them and tried to drag them out of the car.

Imagine, a group of 18 year olds enforcing a traffic jam with no fear and remorse.

The video of the incident received wide spread condemnation for being ruthless and deadly with almost everyone blaming the parents of those young boys, whose obvious bad parenting brought them upto this level.

“They could have murdered us, my child is yet to come out of the trauma.” Narrated the female victim of the incident in a video message in which she thanked the Jammu and Kashmir police for coming to their rescue on time.

How do such underaged kids get access to all the vehicle they drive on roads? Should the police arrest their parents too? Should the registration of the vehicle used in committing the crime be cancelled? Are the questions which people are asking to the administration and the parents of such children.

At least 9 boys were later arrested during mid night raids and people hailed the efforts of the police for brining the culprits to justice.
