Shopian: The Department of Physical Education and Sports Imtiyaz Memorial Government Degree College Shopian organized Annual Cycle Race Event today on 12-05-2022. The race was flagged off by Prof. Tajamul Islam at 6:30 am in presence of teaching and non teaching staff of the college.
The race was started from college campus and culminated at Cause way Sehpora Shopian. In the Event Wani Salman of 5th Sem achieved 1st position, Sajad Ahmad Mir of 2nd Sem and Aaqib Ahmad Dar of 2nd Sem secured 2nd and 3rd positions respectively.
Adequate and elaborate arrangements were made by the Sports Committee of the college to make the event a memorable and a successful one with the help of health Department.
Later on, the prize distribution ceremony was held at college campus where the first, second and third positions were awarded trophies and medals by the senior faculty members along with Convener Sports Committee of the college.
Principal of the college applauded the efforts of Convener Sports Dr. Umar Farooq and Mr. Syed Latief Sharief (Physical Director) for making the event a successful one. He also praised the efforts of Health Department in smooth conduction of the programme.
