Panipuri seller’s daughter bags 99.72% in Gujarat Board Class 10 exam

Poonam Kushwaha hails from Gujarat’s Vadodara and is the daughter of a panipuri seller who has been in this profession for 25 years. Alongside studies, Poonam has had to help her father with his business and her mother with household chores every day. Despite having a hectic daily schedule, Poonam has managed to pass her class 10 board exams with flying colours.

Poonam’s day begins at 5.30 in the morning. After waking up, she helps her father prepare the ingredients for the panipuris. She then leaves for school and comes back home at 2.30 in the afternoon. After freshening up, there is no rest for her as she helps her mother with household work.

In the evening, she sits for studies and dedicates a good 3 hours to her academic preparations. Every day, without fail, she dedicates those hours to study.

A student of Shree Narayan Vidyalaya, located in Karelibaug, she wants to study Biology in classes 11 and 12. She hopes to score well in her class 12 board exams so she can study medicine and eventually become a doctor.
