Kupwara: A police Sub Inspector died of COVID-19 infection this morning at Chest Disease Hospital Srinagar.
The police officer was posted at Police Station Trehgam and was on one month leave, SSP Kupwara Shri Ram Ambedkar said.
He said the deceased police officer was a resident of Kandi Khas Kupwara and was suffering from hypertension, besides he was a diabetic patient
A medico, while confirming the death of police officer, said that he was tested positive for COVID-19 infection some 10 days back. He said the cause of death was comorbidity.
