Batagund villagers in Tral protest against R&B for dilapidated roads

Tral: The residents of Batagund village in Tral staged a protest demonstration Saturday over dilapidated condition of roads in the area.

The locals assembled near a bridge on Pastuna road and raised slogans against Roads and Buildings (R&B) Department.

They alleged that the authorities have turned blind eye towards the Pastuna-Batagund road. They said that due to the incessant rains, roads are waterlogged in the area which creates a host of problems for them.

The protesters claimed that thousands of people living in the area from Tral to Pastuna, including Seer, Gulshanpora and other areas, have to suffer daily due to the dilapidated roads.

They demanded immediate repair of roads in the area to mitigate the sufferings of the people.
