‘Black Out’ In Parts Of JK As Employees Go On Indefinite Strike

Srinagar: All J&K Power Employees goes on indefinite strike from today for privatization of departrment & other issues after no settlement was decided over the issue.
President of Power employees & Engineering Coordination union openly said that except medical facility centres no any electric faults should be repaired from today till strike is over.
He while sitting in protest in Chief Engineers office said that, no doubts, it is a serious issue that if Joint Venture Group is not established in througout India, then why in J&K.
He further said that why our salary’s has been put in grant in aid, which means, when funds will come then they will get salary’s.
He further added that no recruitment has been done in PDD since, 2016 despite so many retirements & Govt had not fixed any any compensation for the deaths of casual labours/need basis persons, who lost their lives during elexctric repaurs.
He also lashed out on Govt that neither Govt had yet decided to regularize employees, who are working in the department since years & strike shall continue till Govt will not talk with them & give wrtitten committment for their demands.
