Five women arrested for running ‘sex racket’ in Srinagar

Jammu and Kashmir Police have busted a sex racket in Tengpora area of Kashmir Capital Srinagar.
Sources told news agency Kashmir Dot Com (KDC) that a sex racket was busted by Jammu and Kashmir police in Tengpora area of Srinagar city and have arrested five women running the racket in the said vicinity and were handed over to Women’s police station Rambagh.
They said the residences of the arrested women are Nowgam, Aripal Tral, Nanil Anantnag and Khalapora Dalgate.
An FIR number 107/ 2021 under section 3, 4, 5, 7 of immoral traffic prevention act has been registered in Police station Batamaloo and further investigation has been set into motion, they added. (KDC)
Soon after the news went viral on social media, senior citizens from Tibet colony Hawal addressed a press conference in which they appealed all social media users not to use the name of their colony, as after visiting the police station Batamaloo they were given assurance by the concerned SHO that no girl among the arrested ones belonged to their community or Tibetan colony Hawal.
