Ganderbal Police solves murder case within 12 hours

Ganderbal:Ganderbal Police today said that the murder case of 12 year old child has been solved within 12 hours after taking up the investigation.

The police statement reads, “On 18/09/2018 at 1115 hours Police Post Nagbal received information about murder of one teenager namely Faisal Hussain Misger S/O Mohammad Hussain Misger R/O Busserbugh Alastang Ganderbal. Accordingly, FIR No. 168/2018 U/S 302 RPC was registered in Police Station Ganderbal.”

Subsequently a police party rushed to the spot and simultaneously SSP Ganderbal Shri Khalil Ahmad Poswal JKPS constituted a Special Investigating Team (SIT) headed by ASP Ganderbal Shri Fayaz Hussain. Dead body was taken into custody by police team and brought to District Hospital Ganderbal, where post-mortem was conducted through a board of doctors, the statement said.

Meanwhile, one suspect namely Abrar Majeed Reshu S/O Abdul Majeed Reshu R/O Busserbugh Alastang Ganderbal was brought for questioning and who disclosed that he committed murder of the said teenager which got corroborated with the circumstances and the evidences brought on record. Also, statement of witness got recorded before the Hon’ble Court. Accused has been formally arrested and kept on police remand, the statement further said.

The police investigation further reveals that afore-mentioned accused was stalking the elder sister of the deceased boy. The marriage proposal of accused was rejected by the father of deceased which infuriated him. In order to take revenge, he targeted the teenager and accordingly committed murder three days after deceased’s sister was married.

Exhibits related to the case have been sent to the Central Forensic Science Laboratory for examination and investigation of the case is in progress.
