Srinagar, July 16 (GNS): Amid surge in cases, Inspector General of Police Kashmir Vijay Kumar on Thursday appealed general public to wear masks.
He has also directed police to announce from vehicles or drones to appeal public to wear masks especially in public places, sumos, taxi stands, market areas etc.
Talking to GNS, the top police officer also sought assistance of Imams and urged them to appeal people to wear the masks. (GNS)
It is pertinent to mention that the Union Teritory of Jammua and Kashmir has seen an alarming surge in COVID-19 cases since past three weeks.
