Joinery Mill Gutted, Property Worth 50 Lakh Destroyed In Pulwama

The Kashmir Radar: Billowing flames devoured a Joinery mill in Tengpuna village of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district during the intervening night of 20-21 December.

Fire tenders were soon put into action from the nearest headquarter of fire service department which could save a little of remaining items in the mill.

The Joinery Mill which belonged to Mehrajuddin Najar of Tengpuna said that two machines costing more than 40 lakhs were destroyed in the incident in addition to the raw wood and crafted wooden items.

A Scotty belonging to the owner too was damaged in the blazing fire.

However, the cause of fire is yet to be ascertained.

“I appeal the district administration to help me, I am devastated, as this mill was my only source of income.” Said Mehrajuddin Najar, owner of the mill.
