Journalist Apologises After Receiving Severe Backlash From Kashmir

A journalist working for a Jammu based news paper ‘Daily Taskeen’ offered an unconditional apology to the people of Kashmir whom he had tried to defame while covering a story about the death of a driver from Jammu in Srinagar.

Amir Sohail, a journalist while covering a story about the death of a driver, called the people of Kashmir, ungrateful and spineless for not helping the deceased driver in getting a room for the night stay.

Amir, while talking to the family members of the now deceased driver, tried every possible way to prove that kashmiri people are not helpful and are responsible for the death of this poor driver.

The story left K- internet fuming, with hundreds of people calling him out for trying to defame the people of Kashmir.

Later, a journalist from Kashmir whose story actually hit the right chord after he reported from ground zero and tried to unveil the actual reality behind the death of the driver.

This journalist from Kashmir interviewed the shopkeepers in the vicinity of the location where the incident had taken place and several unanswered questions and doubtful queries left netizens shocked.

Soon after the story of this journalist from Kashmir went viral on social media, people started trending #UnfollowDailyTaskeen and later hundreds of videos and screenshots were shared showing the Facebook page losing thousands of followers within just two hours after the hashtag was started by the social media users in Kashmir.

This severe backlash later prompted the journalist in question to issue an unconditional apology and requested everyone to share his apology video on all social media platforms.
