Rahmoo residents protest against scarcity of drinking water

Pulwama: Residents in Rahmoo village of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district today held a protest demonstration against scarcity of drinking water in the area.

The protesting villagers in Bongam Tali Mohalla alleged that the PHE authorities in the district were indifferent towards the hardship caused due to the water scarcity.

School buses and other vehicles plying through the area were disallowed and forced to halt by the protestors, causing inconvenience to the commuters.

Bashir Ahmad, the concerned JE while talking to The Kashmir Radar said that the Department will provide the required pipes within two days to make the already laid pipeline functional and ensure proper supply of drinking water in the area.

It is in place to mention here that the water pipeline in the area stopped supplying drinking water a fortnight ago.
