Srinagar to Leh highway reopens after 8 days

Ganderbal: Srinagar to Leh highway re opens after 8 days, one way traffic allowed: DySP traffic Ganderbal.

A 434-km-long Srinagar-Leh highway connecting Ladakh region with Kashmir valley reopened after remaining closed for seven days due to heavy snowfall.

DySP traffic Ganderbal Faheem Ali said, “That one way traffic allowed from Minimarg towards Srinagar”.

He said stranded vehicles to move first to move towards Sonamarg on Friday, that the traffic movement on Sgr-Leh highway was closed on Friday evening last week due to heavy snowfall.

He said that despite hectic efforts the BRO cleared the highway.
