Srinagar’s streets roared to life on Sunday as the city hosted its first-ever Formula 4 racing event! This exciting spectacle aimed to achieve two goals: promoting tourism in the region and inspiring local youth to explore careers in motorsports.
The 1.7 km racecourse, stretching from Lalit Ghat on the Dal Lake to Nehru Park, saw professional Formula 4 drivers showcase their skills and perform thrilling stunts. The event, held from 10 am to 2 pm, drew large crowds of enthusiastic spectators. After the race, fans had the chance to meet the drivers and learn more about the world of Formula 4 racing.
Safety was a top priority for the organizers. The racing surface was meticulously prepared, potholes were filled, and barricades were installed. Medical teams with ambulances, fire extinguishers, and security personnel were also on hand. Additionally, drone surveillance ensured a smooth and secure event.
