Shariya Manzoor from Nehama village of Pulwama has been selected to participate in the National Mixed Marshal Arts (MMA) championship to be held in New Delhi on 29th July.
Shariya got entry into the league on the basis of her previous commendable performance in various local and national leagues.
MMA is a mixed form of wrestling, judo and kickboxing. As per Owais Yaqoob, the owner of Lions Den Pulwama and MMA coach of Shariya Manzoor, she had earlier brought laurels to the state by winning various medals in the National and local Championships.
Talking to “The Kashmir Radar,” Shariya Manzoor while expressing joy credited all her success to Owais Yaqoob, her coach and Mentor.
