It is learned that Umran Malik bowled 163.7 km/h in the Indian team’s net practice. With this, Umran has surpassed even Shuaib Akhtar’s world record. Akhtar bowled the fastest against England in the 2003 ODI World Cup. Its speed was 161.3 km/h.
Umran’s speed on the net is far ahead of this. But as it is a training session, the performance of the Indian player will not be considered a record. Akhtar had earlier said that Umran would break his world record. Umran will become the fastest king if he can bowl a ball like the one on the net against South Africa.
Umran Malik has caught the cricketing world’s attention with his stellar performance for Sunrisers Hyderabad in the last IPL. Umran’s ability to bowl consistently over 150 km/h sets him apart from other fast bowlers.
He was also the second-fastest bowler in the tournament. The speed was 157 km/h. Umran was the fastest bowler to reach the final.
