Kashmiri Influencer Who Used Zombie Filter To Scare Children Receives Backlash On Social Media

Kashmiri ‘influenzers’ (read influencers) have a history of stooping to the lowest low for garnering views on Facebook and YouTube; from involving their female family members in YouTube videos to exploiting the poor, our social media users have diluted the very essence of almost all the tech giants operating all over the world.

In a very recent incident, a young man used a zombie filter to scare away kids, warning them against the use of mobile phones.

A good step though, but going by the book, the man in the video has clearly violated the ‘graphic content’ guidlines of the social media by uploading content which may directly or indirectly have a very bad impact on the physiological set up of the children.

You may have come across thousands of videos on Facebook and YouTube warning you about the “age restriction” of the video which later gives you an option to confirm your age, and if you are below 18, then it strictly advises you not to watch the video.

Without understanding the community guidlines, age restriction, child abuse and other sensitive things about internet, one must try to stay away from uploading stuff which according to him or her may prove beneficial for the society.

There are hundreds of other ways to teach and train our children about the ill effects of continuous use of mobile phones, like encouraging playtime: Physical play stimulates the brain. Activities that involve physical movements allow children to use their energy and give children the chance to develop gross and fine motor skills, learn new things and socialize. It hugely benefits the physical and mental health of a child.

Moreover, Children learn more from your actions than your words. They are great observers, and they mimic the habits of parents. It is important to form strict rules in place to abide by. Restricting your smartphone usage time allows you extra time to spend with your child. These interactions with your child are crucial in creating a strong parent-child relationship, the value of which is often underestimated.

Hence, Using a zombie filter to scare away children is idiotic and an insane way to do it.
