Amid allegations of large scale fraud in the selection list of police Sub-inspector posts issued by the J&K Services Selection Board, the LG Manoj Sinha on Thursday said his administration has decided to probe the matter.
LG Sinha while speaking at a passing out parade in Udhampur said that a time-bound probe led by Additional Chief Secretary, Home will be conducted into the allegations and corrective measures will be taken in case any wrongdoing is established.
“All the recruitment process held so far have been transparent and clean. But fingers have been raised against the J&K SSB list of SI posts. We have decided to constitute a committee that will be headed by Secretary Home to probe the allegations levelled by some people,” the LG said while addressing a function at Udhampur, as per news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO)
He said that the committee will submit its report within shortest possible time and if anybody is found involved in playing mischief, strict action will be taken and the entire process will conducted afresh in a transparent manner—(KNO)
