Tragedy Strikes in Pulwama: Young Girl Dies Due to Alleged Medical Negligence

A devastating incident has shaken the Arihal area of Pulwama, where a 22-year-old girl, Saboora Arshid, lost her life in a private nursing home due to alleged negligence by a doctor. Saboora, a Master’s student at the University of Kashmir, underwent a minor nose surgery at Mohamadia Nursing Home in Gangoo, Pulwama, but the procedure turned fatal.

According to family members, the doctor took Saboora into the operation theater, but failed to provide updates on her condition for three hours, sparking apprehension. When questioned, the nursing home staff instructed them to rush to a government hospital in Srinagar, where they were devastatingly informed that Saboora had passed away.

The family was left clueless and distraught, alleging that the doctor’s negligence and lack of communication led to Saboora’s tragic demise. The incident has sparked widespread outrage and demands for justice.

Taking swift action, Deputy Commissioner Pulwama, Dr. Basharat Qayoom, ordered a time-bound inquiry into the incident and sealed the operation theater of Mohamadia Nursing Home to preserve evidence. The investigation aims to determine the circumstances surrounding Saboora’s death and hold those responsible accountable.

The community is in mourning, and Saboora’s family is seeking answers and justice for their beloved daughter. This incident raises concerns about medical negligence and the need for accountability in healthcare institutions. As the investigation unfolds, the people of Pulwama demand transparency and action to prevent such tragedies in the future.
