Jammu, April 21: In a shocking turn of events, a woman and her lover have been arrested for allegedly murdering her husband and attempting to disguise the crime as a road accident.
Naresh Chander, 33, from Bhaderwah in Doda, was brought to Jammu’s Gandhi Nagar hospital by his wife Shallu Devi on April 7, claiming he was injured in an accident. However, investigations revealed a web of deceit and a sinister plot.
Police discovered that Shallu Devi was having an illicit affair with Bhanu Partap Singh, a trainee at the government hospital, who was present at the time of Chander’s death. The duo hatched a conspiracy to kill Chander at an abandoned plot in Seora village and then took him to the hospital, where Singh worked, to cover their tracks.
The police have converted the FIR into a murder case and are conducting further investigations. The arrests and revelations have sent shockwaves through the community, highlighting the darker aspects of human relationships.
