Srinagar,16-Dec: Lieutenant Governor of J&K, Chancellor of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (SKUAST), Kashmir, has appointed Dr. Nazir A Ganai, Director planning and monitoring SKUAST Shalimar Srinagar, as Vice Chancellor of SKUAST, Kashmir, for a period of three years or until he attains the age of 65 years, whichever is earlier, w.e.f. the date he takes over charge.
While appointing Dr. Ganai as Vice Chancellor, SKUAST, Kashmir, the Governor has expressed hope that he will maintain the obtaining momentum and further enhance the teaching, research and academic activities in the University. The Governor has thanked , the outgoing Vice Chancellor, for his valued contribution and services to the University.
Meanwhile, BJP J&K spokesman Altaf Thakur dr Nazir Ahmed Ganai for being appointed as the Vice-Chancellor SKAUST-Kashmir stating the varsity will touch news heights and gain lot under the dynamic leadership of Prof Nazir who is a visonary and talented enough to bring laurels to SKAUST-Kashmir.
Dr. Ganai, a resident of chandrigam Tral District Pulwama of South Kashmir has completed his Masters and Ph. D degrees and underwent training in several national and international organizations. With rich research experience of over three decades, many of Dr. Ganai’s papers have been published in reputed national and international journals.(CNS)
