Shopian 17 Oct: On the eve of “World Food Day (16th October)”, Department of Food Science & Technology in collaboration with Department of Horticulture Govt. Degree College Shopian organized an International online Quiz Programme on “Processing of Horticultural Crops”. The quiz received a good response; more than 400 students participated across the country while more than 100 students were from the USA, Pakistan, Lebanon, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Philippines, Bangladesh & Nepal.
A very good number of participants were from India’s top institutes like IIT Kharagpur, Banaras Hindu University, University of Calcutta, Pondicherry University, Central University of Punjab, NDRI, NIFTEM, GNDU, Punjab Agricultural University and many state/agricultural universities.
The top 50 Participants in merit will get E-Certificates via their Email ID’s within few days.
It is pertinent to mention that the Department has organized online National Quiz in August as well which attracted over 1050 partcipants across the globe.
