Unlabeled Juice Bottles Spark Health Concerns in Kashmir

Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir: A recent discovery of unlabeled juice bottles targeting children has raised serious health concerns in Kashmir. These miniature bottles, containing a small amount (10-20ml) of unidentified liquid, lack crucial information like ingredients, manufacturing details, expiry dates, and the mandatory FSSAI (Food Safety and Standards Authority of India) approval.

The issue came to light after a local journalist uploaded a video on social media showcasing these concerning products. The video garnered significant attention, prompting swift action from the Commissioner of Food Safety. Raids were conducted on various suppliers across Kashmir, resulting in the confiscation of large quantities of these suspicious juice bottles.

The Commissioner expressed grave concerns over the potential health risks associated with these unlabeled drinks. “The unknown contents of these miniature juices pose a serious threat to the well-being of our children,” he stated. “We urge parents to exercise extreme caution and avoid purchasing these products at all costs.”

This incident highlights the critical need for stricter regulations and more rigorous enforcement within the food and beverage industry in Kashmir. Ensuring the safety and health of children must be a top priority. Authorities are currently conducting investigations to identify the source and ingredients of these unlabeled juices. Their primary focus is to prevent further distribution and eliminate any potential health hazards.

Parents and citizens are advised to remain vigilant. If you encounter similar unlabeled products, it’s crucial to report them immediately to the nearest food safety department or local authorities. By working together, we can safeguard the health and well-being of Kashmir’s children.
