Fake Doctor Exposed in Pulwama, Clinic Sealed by Authorities

Pulwama, J&K: A self-proclaimed doctor, identified as Firdous Ahmad from the Murran area of Pulwama, was apprehended during a sting operation led by social activist Dr. Abdul Bari Naik. Ahmad, who was practicing at a clinic in Pulwama and seeing patients regularly, allegedly claimed to be a BUMS (Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery) doctor.

However, reports indicate he was prescribing X-rays, ECGs, and allopathic medicines, exceeding his scope of practice.

A video circulating on social media purportedly shows Firdous Ahmad prescribing medication to patients. Following his exposure, authorities took swift action, sealing the clinic where he operated.

Locals have commended Dr. Naik for his efforts in bringing the fake doctor to light.

This incident highlights the importance of verifying the credentials of medical practitioners before seeking their services.

It also emphasizes the need for vigilance and cooperation from both the public and authorities to ensure genuine healthcare services are available to all.
