Pulwama Police arrested notorious drug peddler, contraband substances recovered.
Continuing its efforts to rein the Drug menace from society, Police Station Pulwama received a specific information that one person namely Riyaz Ahmad Sheikh S/O Gh Mohd R/O Bandzoo is indulged in peddling of contraband substances and has hoarded a large quantity of contraband substances in his house.
Accordingly, a Police Party from Police Station Pulwama conducted raid on said residential house at Bandzoo Pulwama in presence of Magistrate Pulwama.
During search 6 Kg of Bhang Patri was recovered from the said residential house. However, the accused person has been arrested on spot and the contraband substances seized.
Accordingly, Case FIR No. 46/22 under 8/21 of NDPS Act. has been registered in Police Station Pulwama and investigation set into motion.
Community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding drug peddlers in their neighborhood. Persons found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt strictly under law.
