Training programme under PMEGP concludes at Ganderbal

Ganderbal:  The ten (10) day training programme organized under Prime Minister Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) by J&K Bank RSETI (Rural Self-Employment Training Institute) Ganderbal concluded here today.

30 unemployed youth from various areas of the District like wangat, Chunt waliwar, Gotli Bagh and Gund participated in the training programme. Additional District Development Commissioner, Ganderbal N.A Baba was the Chief Guest on the occasion.

While speaking on the occasion, the ADDC asked the trained entrepreneurs to take full advantage of the training programmes being conducted at institutes like RSETI’S and set up their business units for which government and financial institutions like banks provide them adequate support.

Director RSETI Mr. Manzoor Hamdani highlighted the role of RSETI’s in imparting training to the youth for various schemes. He further said that the institutes shall continue to play a pivotal role in creating self-employment culture among the unemployed youth.

On the occasion, ADDC Ganderbal distributed 30 certificates among the trainees for their successful completion of the training. He wished good luck to all the candidates for starting their own ventures. Notably, Since April 2018, RSETI Ganderbal has trained as many as 175 candidates under PMEGP.

Apart from ADDC Ganderbal Mr. Nazir Ahmad Baba, the other officers who attended the valedictory function included Mr. Riyaz Ahmad, District Co-ordinator KVIC, Mrs. Misha Musharraf, District Officer KVIB , Mr. Kaisar Tantray, Branch Head, BU Ganderbal and host of other officers of various concerned departments of the Government..
