Pulwama, Oct 28 (KNO): A youth from south Kashmir has published an anthology in which he has given space to 20 budding writers of the Kashmir valley.

Faheem-ul-Islam, a 20-year-old youth from Achan Pulwama who is pursuing his bachelor’s honours degree in political science at Aligarh Muslim University has already published his one book THE MIDNIGHT SILENCE recently.

The book has received appreciation from various national and international levels. Faheem has been writing for international newspapers and journals published now under an anthology titled “Concealed Chinars”.

While talking with news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Faheem said that while writing, he saw dozens of talented Kashmiri youth who write well but lack of platform after which he decided to compile an anthology in which he will give space to some of the budding writers.

“My aim is just to promote the talented writers of J&K who want to write but don’t have a platform where they can showcase their talent,” he said.

Faheem said that this is his first try to promote talented writers and he is going to continue this work in future to promote more budding writers.

“Concealed Chinars is an anthology compiled by me which has been written by various writers in a beautiful way. Their words are sourced from the depth of their hearts which inherit the scent of love, loneliness, truth, trust and much more in it,” he said.

“Deep down the heart, I feel very much humbled and hedonic to be the co-author of the book Concealed Chinars,” said Haris Bin Gulzar, co-author of the book.

This book Concealed Chinars is a beautiful story which touches the heart of the reader. Found this book well written and enjoyed it,” said Mehrun Nisa Qureshi, another co-author.

Umaira Rasikh, another co-author of the book, said that it is the first time when his poems are published in any book.

Talking about the compiler Faheem ul Islam, Umaira said, “She was very much comfortable to work with him as a co author.”—(KNO)
