This Heroic Cop Saved Suicidal Woman From Jumping Into River

The Kashmir Radar: A women who tried to commit suicide by Jumping into the river from Budshah bridge, Natipora, Srinagar today was saved by one SI Mohan Lal of 132Bn CRPF, who was deployed at the same bridge.


Mohan Lal’s quick response saved the lady from committing suicide and hence a precious life was saved by him.


CCTV footage of the scene was soon released and published on social media platforms and people praised the heroics of the cop and appreciated his prompt action that saved the life of the lady.


The lady can be seen approaching towards the railing of the bridge and trying to jump over the railing just next to where Mohan lal was standing to perform his duties.

The cop on duty grabbed the woman and he was soon joined by his team mates and the woman was evacuated from the spot immediately.


The lady was later handed over to the Jammu and Kashmir police.


Sub Inspector Mohan Lal of 132 BN CRPF is a resident of Jaipur Rajasthan.

It is pertinent to mention that an increasing number of suicides is an alarming situation in Kashmir valley and a matter of concern especially since past two to three years.
