Distt police ganderbal recovered huge consignment of contraband material (Cannabis)
Ganderbal: Based upon a specific information a police team led by DO shadipora SI showkat Ali of police station Ganderbal conducted search of house of one accused namely Mohammad Sultan sheikh S/o Ab. Ahad sheikh R/O Lone Mohalla Pata Shallabugh in presence of Magistrate on 28.10.2018.
During search police team recovered about 61 kg’s of Dried bang patri a contraband substance from the possession of said accused.
Before conducting search FIR NO 207/2018 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act of P/S Ganderbal was registered .
The substance so recovered is in fact an endangered species of herbs which has medicinal value and is prohibited to be extracted.
SSP Ganderbal Khalil Ahmad Poswal (JKPS) has warned the criminals not to cause damage to the environment as well as propagation of extraction and sale of contrabands.
