‘5 minute mein meri English khatam..’: Nabi’s modest remark before start of press conference goes viral

Afghanistan skipper Mohammad Nabi resorted to self-trolling in the recently concluded press conference after the Asian minnows hammered Scotland in their ICC World T20 2021 match on Monday.

Premier batsmen Najibullah Zadran, Rahmanullah Gurbaz, and Hazratullah Zazai played scintillating knocks to help Afghanistan thrash Scotland in match No.17 of the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium.

Nabi somewhat pulled off a Sarfaraz Ahmed when the captain of the Afghanistan T20I team entered the media room after the one-sided contest at Sharjah.

Nabi stressed that answering to reporters in pressers is the most difficult job according to him. “Sabse mushkil kaam hai bhai yeh [This is the most difficult job to do]” Nabi said while gearing up for the press conference. “Kitne questions hain? [How many questions are there],” Nabi asked before the start of the media interaction. “5 minutes mei meri English khatam ho jayegi bhai [My English will be over in 5 minutes],” he added.

Talking about the match, power-hitting batters scripted the famous win for Nabi and Co. as Afghanistan registered a massive win over Scotland. Batting first against the Kyle Coetzer-led side, openers Zazai and Mohammad Shahzad joined forces by taking Scotland bowlers to the cleaners. While Shahzad scored 15-ball 22, Zazai played a crucial knock of 44 off 30 balls against Scotland.
