Expert In Fishing Out Dead Bodies, Abdul Salam From Pulwama Pressed Into Service To Trace Sopore Girl

The Kashmir Radar: From last 30 odd years, Abdul Salam has been going out of his way to help the police and locals in recovering dead bodies from the river.

An expert swimmer, Abdul Salam claims that he has recovered more than 40 dead bodies so far and saved more than 18 lives from drowning.

The searches to trace out the dead body of the girl from Sopore who allegedly committed suicide entered the fifth day and all goverment and private swimmers are on job to find her.

Hailing from Lelhar area of Kakapora in Pulwama, Abdul Salam is known as a Messiah who receives huge respect and admiration in his locality.

Abdul Salam’s unusual story featured on a web portal “The Kashmir Shadows” in the year 2020 and his efforts were praised by one and all. Now after the unfortunate Sopore incident, a random social media user shared Abdul Salam’s story which caught the attention of netizens and Abdul Salam was contacted who can now been seen along with the local swimmers, trying to trace out the dead body of the girl.

People are happy to see him there and expect a miracle from him for obvious reasons.

“I think the dead body must have flown more than two kilometers away from the location where the girl jumped into the river. I will try my best and rest depends on almighty Allah.” Said Abdul Salam while talking to a local News Portal.
